Huntington Beach Airshow Oct 21-23

In case you've not heard, Huntington Beach will have its first ever Airshow right over the beach! Sponsored by Breitling, the airshow is promising to be spectacular. The Breitling Jet Team, United States Air Force Thunderbirds, and many other aerobatic professionals will be performing over the skies of Surf City!

If you're interested in aviation, come on down and grab a patch of sand (where you can find it) to enjoy this FREE airshow! Of course, there's paid, premium seating with food service if you'd prefer that as well. But there's plenty of good eats around Huntington Beach. Fred's Mexican Food overlooks the shoreline and promises to be a great venue.

In terms of our flight school operations, this will not impact any of our flight schedule. Along with the usual Weight and Balance calculation and reviewing NOTAMs, take note of the Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) in place for the airshow.

We typically train to the north in the La Habra airspace, so the airshow is no factor in our training. But for our students who are signed-off to solo, take heed and avoid the Huntington Beach airspace during these days.

I for one am looking forward to the airshow! I'll be flying in the morning, and hustling back to Huntington Beach to grab a patch of sand (or pavement) to watch this impressive lineup of aerobatic performers!
